Throughout her career, Sara’s thoughtful counsel has guided planning in executive communications, major campaigns and events, brand management, internal relations, media relations and crisis management across a variety of industries.
Sara’s experience includes project management, public engagement and strategic communications for clients in transportation, urban development and planning, higher education, nonprofit, corporate, government and health care industries. As a trained journalist, Sara specializes in media relations and has worked with local, national, global and niche media to strategically elevate client profiles, build new audiences and drive awareness.
Prior to joining GBSM, Sara worked as the communications manager for two nationally recognized research centers at Indiana University. There, she established reliable communications systems to support hundreds of internal constituents while engaging local and global audiences. Notably, Sara’s use of creative multimedia tactics delivered compelling and easy-to-understand narratives about highly complex subjects that resonate with key stakeholder groups.
Sara is a versatile communications professional who is highly regarded by her clients for impeccable project management, authentic relationship-building and thorough attention to detail. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations from Indiana University.
