Michael Teague

Michael Teague is a dynamic public affairs and communications strategist that taps into the universal values shared by diverse audiences to create lasting impact.  
 
Combining expertise in communications with a deep understanding of strategic planning, Michael has successfully developed and implemented public relations strategies, revamped brands, managed multi-agency projects and events, meaningfully engaged underrepresented communities, advised on crisis communications during national controversies and built relationships with journalists across Colorado.  
 
Prior to joining GBSM, Michael served in multiple public affairs and liaison roles in state and local government where he coordinated a statewide relationship violence prevention campaign, developed nonpartisan communications strategies, promoted bipartisan legislation and expanded the reach of public services.  
 
Having grown up in four different states and engaged with numerous communities across his career, Michael has a rare perspective of urban, suburban and rural life in different regions of America that enables him to effectively communicate with diverse audiences in each of these settings. He is passionate about uniting groups and individuals with differing – and often opposing – positions around problem-solving through shared values and goals. 
 
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Texas A&M University, where he was an award-winning journalist, and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Colorado State University – Global with awards in change management and decision theory.  
 
Michael and his wife Laura live in the Golden Triangle of Denver and are both passionate about strengthening community. Outside of work, Michael enjoys going to sporting events, travelling, experiencing different cultures, snowboarding, camping and learning about the world around us.
