ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for part-time independent consultant partners in key West Slope markets, familiar with the rural, resort and mountain communities they work within, to integrate with our team. Experience in corporate communications, reputation and issue management and public engagement programming is required.

This role will work alongside one of our firm’s leaders based in Ridgway to inform strategy and help implement multi-discipline communications programs; plan and execute meetings, including logistics, admin and vendor management; media monitoring and engagement; project management; research, analyzation of data and summary reporting; and content and collateral development.

Among these other responsibilities, this role will:

  • Conduct research and help our team of senior-level communications and management-consulting experts develop strategies for business and communications success.
  • Communicate on behalf of clients among business groups, regulators, industry analysts, policymakers, elected officials, the public at large and other influencers.
  • Actively help manage and execute communications and business tactics that support our clients’ strategic goals, while helping keep the team and projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Support public affairs projects which require comfort executing grassroots-engagement programs, coalition building and planning/executing various types of public meetings and events as well as strategic planning efforts and projects. Includes development of stakeholder communications (databases, newsletters, websites, emails) and preparing large- and small-scale meetings logistics.    

These partners will be integrated into specific client projects and events though will operate independently of GBSM. Expected up to 20 hours per week.
