Ollie Johnson specializes in media relations, digital communications and strategic messaging. He has managed internal and external communications for several Fortune 500 healthcare and technology companies in addition to water utility providers, local governments and roadway operators. Ollie has helped a number of organizations effectively navigate communications surrounding sensitive corporate, consumer and financial issues. His experience in media strategy and narrative development has also helped many executives establish themselves as thought leaders in their respective industries.
At GBSM, Ollie has formed strong coalitions with communities in Denver and Colorado Springs on the behalf of public and private sector clients. He has a keen understanding of how best to engage the public for input, and effectively address their concerns and priorities in the technical stages of any project. He has significant experience working with clients to educate their customers on service and product changes, and shift behavior with impactful messaging when needed.
Before joining GBSM, Ollie worked for PR agencies in Europe and the United States, focusing heavily on earned media strategy, brand reputation and management, and influencer relations. He has significant experience engaging with technology and business-savvy audiences, and shaping positive relationships for organizations with the media and broader public.
Ollie holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Exeter, England. In his spare time, he creates audio dramas and enjoys the outdoors.
