Steven Silvers is a nationally recognized reputation expert specializing in corporate affairs, strategic communications, issues management and crisis response. His broad client experience includes American Humane Association, CH2M Hill, Chipotle, EAS, Ensign Drilling, Financial Planning Association, Grease Monkey, International Speedway Corp., LodgeNet, New Mexico State University, Nextel Communications, Red Robin, Sundrop Fuels, Vail Resorts, Verio and many others. Among his clients, Steve serves as corporate communications director for a venture-backed renewable gasoline producer now building its inaugural $500 million facility in Louisiana.

Previously, Steve was president of ClarusPR, a leading firm specializing in growth companies that included one of the telecommunications industry’s largest IPOs.  He was also a vice president with PR giant Hill & Knowlton, where he spearheaded issues and crisis management for the launch of Denver International Airport.

Steve began his career in the U.S. Army, where he became a top military journalist and earned the Meritorious Service Medal. He was an editor at the Pentagon’s official Army News Service during the transformation years from draft to volunteer military. After leaving the service he joined Texas Instruments where he helped lead internal communications initiatives.  Steve began his consulting career in Dallas at Ogilvy & Mather, where he helped introduce voice mail and smart cards. He later directed the PR groups of two Dallas agencies, during which he was honored for directing the state's top public health communications campaign.

Steve graduated from the Navy Photojournalism Program at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communication and is accredited by PRSA. He is a 1998 graduate of Leadership Denver and served on the board of the Metro Denver Chamber Leadership Foundation.
