Becky Karlin is a communications consultant specializing in strategic communications, public affairs and corporate communications.
Becky brings to GBSM experience in government, healthcare, education and transportation industries. Her work includes counseling various public-sector clients, as well as growing and established private-sector companies. Becky is currently helping Denver Water in the development of their Strategic Plan and providing ongoing communications counsel to Greeley Water and Sewer. She also oversees communications for the ResourceSmart Colorado water and energy conservation initiative in Denver’s commercial real estate sector. Other clients include AARP, the City and County of Denver and Intrepid Potash.
As a former senior policy advisor to Governor Bill Owens, Becky represented the Governor on all healthcare, insurance and higher education issues for the state of Colorado. In this role, she worked closely with constituents, interest groups, federal, state, local officials and the Bush administration. While in the governor’s office, Becky led several consumer-driven healthcare initiatives as well as initiatives to improve care provided to chronically ill Medicaid recipients. Becky has also worked for and done significant communications planning for Frontier Airlines.
Becky graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a psychology degree and a foreign language citation in French. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Denver. Becky volunteers with several local organizations, including Judi’s House.
